that's what all the kids say every time we walk into town. as soon as they spot a foreigner, all of the kids stampede towards us, hollering to the others in rapid-fire, high-pitched hindi voices. they politely rush up to us, showing off their best english phrases, pointing at the digital cameras, and begging for "wahhhn fotoo madam"...
They don't want the actual photos (although in the past tourists have often tried to send the hardcopies back to the tour offices in these small towns for distribution to the kids). instead, they want the five seconds of giggling excitement that comes after they have reviewed their picture in the camera's LCD screen after it has been taken.
I'm going to try to post a few photos now. the electricity has already gone out twice during this post, so no promises... (ahem, mr. nhlhomer). xox

this is the security force leader for the taj mahal (center). minutes after insisting on this photo, he asked our tour leader how he could get a job with Intrepid tours..... ;-)

Funny! Some of the Iraqi kids I met were the same way. Of course, I had to wait for them to put down their AK's and cigarettes before taking the picture...
